The people who built it spent their careers inside enterprise security organizations: running identity programs, leading response, sitting in the CISO chair. Everywhere, the same problem: plenty of tools, plenty of data, and no way to see the posture whole.
How Loom Security started, and why it built CINQUE

Every engagement started with the same question
Loom opened in 2024 doing identity and security program work inside customer environments. Before we could fix anything, we had to know who was doing what, on which device, over which network, into which application, touching which data. Every customer owned a tool for each piece. None of them could answer the whole question.
So we answered it by hand
Our delivery team pulled what each tool could see and stitched the picture together by hand, engagement after engagement. It was the most valuable thing we delivered. It also scaled only with headcount, and it started going stale the day we handed it over.
So we built the tool we kept needing
What began as our own tooling for those engagements grew, with early design partners, into CINQUE. It runs that same correlation continuously across Identity, Device, Network, Application and Data, on the tools a customer already owns, and shows the first picture in about 90 minutes.
Value that used to scale with headcount now scales with data.
You take it to the identity team and they say it’s unknown. The device team says it’s not a managed device. The network team says it came over the internet. So who looks at this?

Our Loom Lens methodology analyzes risk through the user's journey and perspective rather than disconnected alerts and siloed tools. It shaped how this team operated for years before Loom existed, and it is the thinking CINQUE turns into software.

Chuck Crawford
Chuck has spent three decades on the defender's side of security. He served as the Deputy CIO for a large research university, held leadership roles at FishNet Security and FireMon, and co-founded Fishtech Group, where he was Chief Strategy Officer through its merger into Cyderes. He founded Loom Security in 2024 to build what he wanted in the CISO chair: one correlated view of posture across identity, device, network, application and data. Shaped by a Midwest upbringing and mentors like Gary Fish, he leads with humility and service, and builds teams and client relationships meant to last.
Chris Vermilya
Chris has built and scaled identity, governance, and security programs across manufacturing, retail, and hospitality industries, with leadership roles at PPG, TravelCenters of America, and Fishtech Group. At Loom he leads CINQUE's product direction and makes sure what we build lands in real customer environments. He pairs strategic vision with hands-on technical depth, and his focus is making persona-driven security operational.
Laura Potter
Laura brings more than two decades in the cybersecurity industry and over 30 years leading operations, programs, channel development and marketing. At Loom she owns the brand, the partner ecosystem and the Fusion Partner Program. She has built channel and alliance programs from the ground up and helped emerging companies scale and stand out in crowded markets.
Adam Wolfram
Adam has spent more than 15 years in cybersecurity go-to-market, most of it on the partner side at Optiv, Fishtech Group and Cyderes, sitting on the same side of the table as the customer. He leads Loom's revenue organization and go-to-market strategy. That partner-side view is why Loom is channel-first: we sell with the trusted advisors customers already rely on, not around them. An engineer by training, he runs on one rule: customers first, always.
Casey Rash
Casey brings nearly two decades in cybersecurity, beginning in signals intelligence and cyber defense with the United States Marine Corps, then enterprise security engineering in fintech and logistics, and technical pre-sales leadership. He leads Loom's solutions architecture team, helping customers turn sprawling posture data into business-aligned risk they can act on. He is at his best cutting through complexity in high-stakes conversations.
Jack Lavin
Jack brings more than 30 years in information security. He started as an account executive and became a trusted advisor to the customers whose security programs he helped build. Before Loom he held sales leadership roles at Nokia, Blue Coat, Palo Alto Networks, Proofpoint and Fishtech Group.
